Product availability

We sell our meat by the half or mixed quarter. Because our animals are small these bulk purchases are lighter in weight than full size cattle and because they are the Lowline breed the buyer gets the advantage of small bones and high yield weights typical of this breed. The beef halves average around 200 lbs hanging weight. Arrangements can be made with the processing plant to have them cut the meat to your specifications or you can arrange to pick up the chilled beef half and have it cut at a place you chose or do it yourself.  Mixed quarters are cut to our standard mix of steaks, roasts and ground beef and are sold buy the pounds of meat cut, wrapped and frozen. All our beef comes from  Miniature Lowline Aberdeen Angus steers raised on our own farm. This way we control the entire process of raising and caring for the animals which become Dayspring Farm beef. Beef packages need to be pre-ordered and are available on a first come first served basis when we have a steers available ready.

Shipping: We no longer ship meat but the processing plant we use is in the adjacent Town and you can make arrangements to pick up your beef halves at that plant. The plant is easy to find located close to exit 5 off I-91 which is 1/2 hour North off the Mass line. Beef quarters are picked up at the farm.

Telephone orders: We encourage telephone reservation for beef because it gives us an opportunity to discuss availability and scheduling. You can also e-mail us to get on our order list.

Payments: We require a $100 deposit with the balance paid prior to pickup.
